Parent education is a big part of what we do every day with each of our clients. The better informed the parent/caregiver is about the techniques and strategies, the more likely they are to participate in a consistent home carryover program. To that end, we believe in providing such information to parents attending local support/advocacy groups.

Knowing all the possible techniques and approaches that may benefit your child allows the parent to make an informed choice. The field of speech therapy is very broad with many opinions on varied approaches. We present topics of interest and balance the positive and the negative view points associated with these approaches. Not every therapy is appropriate for every child. We discuss in an honest and educated manner the best case scenarios for a child’s progress based upon the child’s diagnosis, age and treatment approach.
